The first edition of the Great North Heritage Run intends to take the runners narrative back on track, to promote peace, celebrate our heritage and promote national cohesion and position brand Kenya advantageouly on the global scene.
The theme of this sports series is “celebrating our athletes; running for peace in cultural diversity”.
The Turkana-land Narrative has been one void of hope. Despite being the largest county and strategically located in East Africa neighboring Uganda, Southern Sudan & Ethiopia, the Turkana tale has been that of a people swimming in strife, drought, starvation and ignorance.
The Lake Turkana Half Marathon experience shall demystify Turkana’s new narrative, its talent, its people, its places and its opportunities.
